YGS provides art education and portfolio services for students in grades 8–12. Younger students can begin with our Foundations curriculum to build essential creative skills.
Portfolio: Guidance for standout applications to top art programs.
Foundations: Skill-building workshops and 1-on-1 technical training tailored to each major.
Signal Projects: Student-led exhibitions, installations, and intensive programs that build creativity and leadership.

Director
Pete Young (Shouh) was born in Taipei, Taiwan, 1986. He moved to Vancouver at the age of 9. Pete graduated from OCAD University with a Bachelor of Industrial Design in 2008 and received the Edward David Aziz Award for Innovative Excellence for his thesis project. He founded Young Guns Studio (Vancouver, BC) in the same year and remains the acting Director.
Presently, he leads a team of art teachers and designers that run programs for aspiring young artists. He hopes to help others find their purpose, passion, and to live a fulfilled life through art and design.
The artist name, Shouh, stems from Young’s middle-name in Mandarin. It means “to grow, to facilitate, and to enlarge.” He is currently carving his own career as an automotive artist and while working on multiple projects ranging from art, photography, and design.
